Pune Culture is a community-driven platform. The integrity, authenticity, and quality of user-generated content are central to our mission. This Content Policy governs all content submitted to the Platform, protecting the rights of users, businesses, and the broader Pune community.
This User Content Policy ("Content Policy") governs all forms of content submitted, posted, uploaded, shared, or transmitted by registered and unregistered users of Pune Culture (puneculture.com) — collectively, "User Content." This includes but is not limited to:
By submitting any User Content, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to this Content Policy, our Terms of Service, and our Community Guidelines. Violation of this policy may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent termination.
Establishment Reviews
First-hand experiences, ratings, and feedback for any listed establishment on Pune Culture. Must reflect genuine personal experience.
Community Posts
Discussions, questions, tips, local news, and community announcements in neighborhood and interest-based forums.
Media Uploads
Photographs and short videos illustrating Pune life, establishment experiences, events, or cultural moments.
Business Listings
Partner-submitted information about establishments including descriptions, photos, operating hours, and contact details.
Events
Community events, workshops, meetups, and cultural programs that Pune residents may attend.
Profile Content
Display names, profile bios, profile photographs, and social links visible on your public profile.
3.1 Your Ownership
You retain full intellectual property ownership of all User Content you create and submit. Pune Culture does not claim ownership of your content.
3.2 License Grant to Pune Culture
By submitting User Content to Pune Culture, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, irrevocable, and sublicensable license to:
This license continues even if you delete your account, with respect to content that has been shared by or interacted with by other users. For complete deletion including shared content, submit a written deletion request.
3.3 Representations & Warranties
By submitting content, you represent and warrant that: (a) you are the sole creator or have full rights to submit the content; (b) the content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights; (c) you have obtained consent from any identifiable individuals appearing in photographs or videos; and (d) the content complies with all applicable laws.

The following categories of content are strictly prohibited on Pune Culture and may result in immediate removal and account termination:
✗ Hate Speech
Content that promotes, incites, or glorifies hatred, discrimination, or violence against any group based on religion, caste, gender, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics.
✗ Harassment & Bullying
Content that targets specific individuals to harass, intimidate, threaten, stalk, or bully them. This includes repeated unwanted contact, coordinated harassment campaigns, and doxxing.
✗ Defamation
Content that makes false statements of fact about a specific person or business that could damage their reputation, without factual substantiation. Legitimate criticism and negative reviews based on genuine experience are not defamation.
✗ Obscene & Adult Content
Nudity, pornography, sexually explicit content, or material harmful to minors (as defined under POCSO Act, 2012 and Indian Penal Code). Zero tolerance — immediate permanent ban.
✗ Violence & Graphic Content
Content depicting or promoting real-world violence, gore, self-harm, suicide, or dangerous activities without appropriate context or warning.
✗ Misinformation & False News
Deliberate spreading of false factual claims about public health, safety, legal matters, or current events that could endanger public welfare.
✗ Spam & Unwanted Solicitation
Repetitive, unsolicited promotional messages, pyramid scheme promotions, multi-level marketing solicitations, or any automated bulk messaging.
✗ Intellectual Property Infringement
Reproducing copyrighted text, images, music, or video without authorization. Using trademarked brand names or logos without permission.
✗ Privacy Violations
Sharing another person's private information (home address, phone number, financial details, medical information) without consent. Distributing intimate or private images without consent (IBSA).
✗ Impersonation & Fraud
Claiming to be another real person, business, government official, or Pune Culture representative. Creating fake listing profiles for nonexistent businesses.
✗ Illegal Content
Any content that promotes, facilitates, or depicts illegal activities under Indian law, including drug trafficking, gambling, human trafficking, or financial fraud.
✗ Malicious Code
Uploading or transmitting viruses, malware, ransomware, trojan horses, phishing links, or any harmful software.
Pune Culture employs a multi-layered moderation approach:
Automated Filters
Automated systems scan submitted content for known prohibited patterns including spam, hate speech keywords, and known malicious URLs before publication.
Human Review
Flagged content and all content reported by users is reviewed by our moderation team within 48–72 hours. Complex cases requiring contextual judgment are always reviewed by humans.
Community Reporting
Users can report any content using in-platform report buttons. High-confidence community reports on serious violations trigger expedited review.

If you encounter content on Pune Culture that violates this Content Policy, you can report it using the following channels:
We will acknowledge all email reports within 48 business hours. We take all reports seriously and will review them in a timely manner, although we cannot guarantee removal of all reported content that does not violate this policy.
If your content has been removed or your account has been suspended and you believe the action was taken in error or applied disproportionately, you have the right to appeal:
Email [email protected] within 14 days of the moderation action with subject line "Content Moderation Appeal".
Include in your email: (a) your registered account email; (b) the URL or description of the removed content; (c) the date of removal; and (d) a clear explanation of why you believe the removal was incorrect.
Our moderation team will independently review your appeal within 7 business days.
We will inform you of the appeal decision via email. Appeal decisions are final unless new evidence is presented.
Note: Appeals for content removed due to court orders, government directives, or law enforcement requests cannot be processed through our appeals channel.
You are solely responsible for all User Content you submit to Pune Culture. Pune Culture does not pre-screen all user content and is not liable for content posted by users. However, Pune Culture reserves the right to review, modify, and remove any User Content at its sole discretion.
You agree to indemnify and hold Pune Culture harmless from any claims, damages, legal fees, and expenses arising from: (a) your User Content; (b) your violation of this Content Policy; (c) your violation of any third-party rights through your User Content; or (d) any legal action brought against Pune Culture due to your submitted content.
Posting defamatory, harassing, or legally prohibited content may expose you to personal civil and/or criminal liability under applicable Indian law, including the Indian Penal Code, IT Act 2000, and Consumer Protection Act 2019, independent of any actions taken by Pune Culture.
